Each summer, the Gulf Shores Police Department hosts a Youth Police Academy. This academy is for boys and girls who are looking for an opportunity to learn about law enforcement and the community.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Gulf Shores Police Youth Academy is to:
- Develop leadership, values, and knowledge in each cadet through a highly structured educational and adventurous academy experience.
- Provide training and messages centered on values and traits, including integrity, character, courage, grit, discipline, and teamwork.
- Educate students on issues they will face through adolescence and equip them with skills to navigate these challenges.
- Immerse students in an exciting Youth Academy, allowing them to see and experience first-hand what Law Enforcement Officers do.
