Civic Center Capacity and Rates:

The Erie H. Meyer Civic Center holds up to 600 people theater style, 320 people banquet style without the dance floor, and 260 people banquet style with the dance floor.

Commercial Rate - $1200 Per day
The commercial rate applies to any event where money is charged for attendance and/or where any type of business is solicited. Such events may include, but are not limited to:

  • beauty pageants 
  • concerts
  • corporate conventions
  • dance recitals 
  • real estate expos
General Rate - $900 Per Day
The general rate applies to any event that is social or civic in nature. Such events may include, but are not limited to:

  • banquets
  • birthday parties
  • holiday gatherings
  • social conventions
  • wedding receptions
Resident Rate - $500 Per Day
The resident rate applies to any event that is social or civic in nature, in which case, the individual or business resided in the corporate limits of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The renter must be able to provide proof of residency to receive rate. Acceptable proof of residency includes:

  • copy of lease
  • recent utility bill
  • valid driver's license
  • valid business license
  • voter registration
Rate Inclusions
All rates include: 

  • basic lighting
  • basic PA system
  • consecutive 8-hour time frame in the facility
  • one technical on duty
  • stage
  • tables and chairs in the setup of your choice

Additional Information: 

Other rental items are available upon request. Additional fees may apply. Additional hours within a 24 hour period may be purchased at a rate of $75 per hour.
