To have someone arrested you must first file a report with the Gulf Shores Police Department. If probable cause exists you will then be referred to call the municipal court to make an appointment for a probable cause hearing with a magistrate to determine if a warrant will be issued.

A PFA can only be issued by the Baldwin County Circuit Clerk's office located in the courthouse in Bay Minette, AL. There is no charge to obtain a PFA. New laws went into effect as of July, 2010, regarding who a PFA can be filed against. For more information contact the Baldwin County Circuit Clerk’s office at 251-943-5061. A restraining order must be obtained with the assistance of an attorney. You must contact your attorney for more information on restraining orders.

In order to take care of an outstanding warrant, you must turn yourself in to the Gulf Shores Police Department. After the warrant has been processed, you will be given an opportunity to post a bond and a court date will be given.
