Crews are moving right along on the Waterway Village Pedestrian Bridge. As of Friday, we've reached 53.6% of our original contract time, with construction making steady progress across all sectors. Here is the latest from the site:

Concrete and Roadway teams are finishing up work on ALT 1 this week. This includes the final touches like remaining sod, parking bumpers, and permanent signage. Meanwhile, construction on curbs, sidewalks, and entrances is continuing on the east side of ALT 2.

Itโs a big week for the bridge structure. The contractor is scheduled to pour the 3rd vertical section of the South bridge columns this Friday. On the north side, the Bridge Pile cap is currently curing, and crews have begun erecting the rebar for the columns.

Procurement and submittals are ongoing. The North Elevator Tower Pile Cap is curing, and we expect to start vertical wall concrete construction by the middle of next week. Work also continues on the internal slabs and components of the South Elevator Tower.

โข ALT 1 was opened to normal traffic operations on Sunday, March 1st.
โข Access for work north of the ICW remains open to local traffic only during the ALT 2 construction phase.

โข Roadway: Construction of ALT 2 entrances, curbs, and sidewalks will continue through the end of March.
โข Bridge & Towers: Work continues on the South Elevator Tower and South Bridge columns.
โข Coming Soon: Construction of the North Bridge Columns and North Elevator Tower Walls is scheduled to begin in mid-March.
The anticipated completion date remains January 8, 2027.
