The New Gulf Shores High School has entered its final milestones before completing construction efforts.
We’re approximately 95% complete and expect to begin final inspections with state officials in the next couple of weeks. With a project this size, inspections will take time, but the goal is to finish within a month.
Furnishings are on order and scheduled to arrive in April, and faculty will soon begin training on new systems and technology.
From the moment you approach the campus, its design reflects a clear focus on collaboration, natural light, and purpose-built spaces for academics, arts, and athletics.
Highlights include:
- The Great Hall: A bright, open hub for gathering, studying, and dining, adjacent to a modern cafeteria designed for efficiency and variety.
- Flexible Classrooms: Equipped with advanced tech, interactive boards, and camera systems for instruction and safety.
- Learning Suites: Movable walls create large spaces for collaboration and project-based learning.
- Specialized Areas: Engineering and design labs, Culinary Arts kitchens, Music Production Studio, and a Media Center featuring robotics and drone zones.
- Science Wing: Glass walls connect labs and classrooms for seamless instruction and experimentation.
- Second Floor Programs: Bio-Medical Studies, Finance, Aviation, and Audio-Visual production, including a broadcast studio.
- Performing Arts Wing: Modern rehearsal rooms and a new theater for student and community performances.
- Athletic Facilities: Two gyms, a wrestling room, team viewing spaces, and a Field House with a weight room opening to a covered practice field. Sports Medicine areas provide care and hands-on learning for future trainers.
Together, these spaces create a future-ready environment that unites academics, arts, athletics, and applied learning in one innovative campus.
