Challenge yourself to get outside and ride during National Bike Month!
Each week in May we have a weekly cycling goal for you to complete to be eligible for prize drawings! These weekly goals are:
- Week 1: 12 miles
- Week 2: 16 miles
- Week 3: 20 miles
- Week 4: 24 miles
If you complete this challenge, by the end of May you will have cycled a total of 72 miles!
Biking miles must be earned outdoors and submitted at the Bodenhamer Recreation Center, Cultural Center, and/or via email at fitness@gulfshoresAL.gov.
To encourage you to rack up your miles, we will be holding weekly bike rides (4-6 miles) guided by our experienced area cycler. The meeting places are as follows:
- May 3 at 6 p.m. - Bodenhamer Center
- May 8 at 2 p.m. - Gulf State Parl (Woodside Parking Lot)
- May 17 - 6:30 p.m. - Bodenhamer Center
- May 22 at 2 p.m. - Gulf State Park (Woodside Parking Lot)
