1. Do I have to complete a verification form for each employer I listed on the application?

Yes, you may make copies if additional pages are needed.

2. Do I have to list all of my past jobs on the application?

We would prefer you list the past jobs you have held for at least the last 10 years, all others can be submitted if it shows experience related to the job.

3. Do you accept resumes?

We do accept resumes, but we also require an application to be completed for the position you are applying for. We only accept applications and resumes for the position posted, except Police and Fire, we receive those on a continuous basis.

4. How do I find current job openings for the city?

We post all open positions on the website with a closing date for submission of applications. The city only accepts applications for positions posted. Exceptions are Police, Fire, and part-time seasonal positions; we accept applications for these jobs on a continuous basis and keep on file for 90 days.

5. Will I be notified that the position I applied for has been filled?

Not necessarily. We only send regret letters to those applicants we interview due to the high number of applications received for open positions. However, you can sign up on our home page by clicking link Notify Me
