Independence Day Celebration

The City of Gulf Shores will celebrate the Fourth of July with a stunning fireworks display, beginning at 9 p.m. July 4. Fireworks will be shot from the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier.

Polar Bear Dip 2026

The Kiwanis Club of Gulf Shores, in partnership with The City of Gulf Shores & The Hangout, presents the 15th Annual Polar Bear Dip on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at high noon, taking place at the Gulf Shores Main Public Beach (where Hwy 59 ends, The Hangout). Click here for more information.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has announced Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Sports Commission, along with the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the City of Gulf Shores, will host the National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championships in 2025.  Click here for more information.
