The George C. Meyer Tennis Center is a beautifully designed complex that features six Har-Tru clay courts, 12 hard courts, and an indoor clubhouse. The complex hosts a variety of local league play and numerous USTA-sanctioned tournaments throughout the year. 

Please note: Pickleball play is not permitted on the tennis courts. Please visit our pickleball facility, which features 12 newly constructed, lighted courts. Available at no cost and open to the public from sunrise to 10 pm (unless reserved for tournaments or city events). Located at Gulf Shores Sportsplex, 19025 Oak Road West.

Registrations & Court Reservations

• Hard Courts – Reservations are not taken for hard courts. However, these courts may be reserved by the tennis pros for lessons, leagues, and tournament play. Please call 251-968-1431 for available times.
• Clay Courts – Reservations may be made 48 hours in advance online. City lessons, leagues, and tournaments have priority on these courts.
• Court Reserve - The George C. Meyer Tennis Center uses Court Reserve as its primary platform. We require users to sign up for a free membership, which allows online reservation of clay courts, booking and payment for private lessons, and signing up for clinics and drills. Spring Youth Tennis Camps

Registration for Spring Youth Tennis Sessions is now open! Sessions begin January 12th. The cost is $160 per session. Green Ball is  Monday/Wednesday  5-6 pm (Intermediate-Advanced) and Orange Ball is Tuesday/Thursday 5-6pm  (Beginner-Intermediate). Registration is submitted via Court Reserve. Tennis 101

Tennis 101 is designed for beginners who want to master the fundamentals while enjoying the process. In this class, players will develop solid technique for forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves, and gain a clear understanding of the rules and basics of match play. $20 to register. Tuesday, 6-7 PM Beyond the skills, Tennis 101 is a great way to meet new people, build confidence on the court, and discover the joy of the game. Whether you’re looking for a new hobby or the first step toward competitive play, this class is the perfect place to start!

Next Level Tennis

Next Level Tennis is designed for intermediate players who want to build on their fundamental skills and gain more confidence, consistency, and strategy on the court. Through targeted drills, point-based games, and situational play, you will enhance your technique, movement, and match awareness. Whether you're preparing for social play, league matches, or simply want to play smarter and stronger, this clinic will elevate your game to the next level. Ages 16 and up mixed. Mondays 6 - 7 PM

TGIF Tennis Hit & Play

 Join us on Friday evenings for a group hitting session. We will simulate live match play and rallying under the supervision of our assistant teaching pro. We will guide you with tactical instructions and court positioning strategies to develop your skills on the court and up your game! Intermediate level and up mixed. Fridays 5 - 6:30 PM

Gulf Shores Tennis Club

The Gulf Shores Tennis Club hosts a mixer on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (please arrive 15 minutes early for warm-up and court assignments) The mixer is open to adults of all playing levels.
